About Us

Today’s Women Organization (TWO) was founded in October of 2001 as a non-profit 501© 3 Charitable Organization. We are also registered in the state of Maryland as an exempt non-profit organization.

Our membership consists of hardworking, sleeves rolling women dedicated to the cause of humanity. The organization is dedicated to working tirelessly for those whose lives have been torn apart by war, poverty or other forms of disaster. We are focus on bringing back dignity and hope to those that were and are in a “hopeless” situation. It might be seeing a smile on a child’s face, knowing that a pregnant woman is healthy, or the satisfaction of knowing that a father can provide for his family.

Membership into the Organization is opened to ALL women over the age of 21. Our logo, arms of different colors joining together to form a bond, indicate that our organization does not discriminate in terms of color social status or country of origin.

Achievements

In 2002, through the blessing of God, we engaged in a project called “Well Baby Project.” We were able to ship 15 mid-size boxes of medicines (pre-natal vitamins, iron supplements, pain reliever, etc.) to the only maternity center in Monrovia, Liberia. Though the need exceeded the supplies, nevertheless some of the expectant mothers were able to benefit from such shipment.

In 2005, through the generous support of our members, we were able to send 4 containers that included copy books, sewing machines and clothes.

In 2006, the organization hosted a fund raising ball where money raised from that ball benefited 12 elementary school students from “Feed My Lamb” elementary school, by awarding scholarship for a year. Feed My Lamb Elementary school is located in Paynesville, Monrovia.

Immediate Projects

Renovating an elementary school playground in Jamaica.

Continue our program at Feed My lamb elementary school by providing scholarships to needy students.
